Deriving Drake Equation

Deriving a DRAKE equation….. DRAKE equation may be derived simply by multiplying all probabilities of finding highly intelligent civilizations. Since in any planet how a intelligent species evolve, it also matter while speculating about Et life. Our speculation is based on factors on which evolution of intelligent species matter and all are mutually independent events ,hence we can multiply the probabilities of occuring each events. The DRAKE equation can be given as
N=(R)(Ns)(Fp)(Ne)(Fl)(Fi)(Fc)(L) where,
N=number of intelligent civilization7
R=average star formation rate
Ns=percentage of stars capable of supporting earth like planets
Fp=percentage of those stars with planets
Ne=average number of planets within habitable zones
Fl=percentage of planets where life begins
Fi=percentage of planets with life where an intellient species evolve
Fc=percentage of those species that developes communication technology
L=average life time in years of civilization that developes such technology
you can see clearly from above equation that this is simply probabilities to find out alien life in this enormously large universe. Is there anything missing ? I think there should be an additional term in equation representing the probability of detecting signal and responding that signal by that civilization. Then we can spot an alien civilization1
