Pulsar

Pulsar are very strange astrophysical phenomenon, that exists. Millisecond pulsar are strangest, I think. A pulsar with pulse period of less than 25 milliseconds, said to be millisecond pulsar , completing about 40rev/sec. Such a high spin rate may suggest that these pulsar are young, but opposite is true, say scientists. They have been rejuvenated by a “spin up process” involving the accumulation of matter from a nearby star. Not only are the periods of millisecond pulsar much shorter than those of normal young pulsar. The crab nebula pulsar, which is the youngest known has a period of 0.03seconds. A speculation suggest that these pulsar are so regular that their pulses can be used to create the most accurate block known to human. Of more than 700pulsar are identified , fewer than 20 are the millisecond pulsar. The first to be discovered in 1982, PSR 1937+211, is also the fastest known, completing 642 revolution per second. In recent years several confirmed or suspected planets have been found, by pulsar timing in orbit around millisecond pulsars. These are known as pulsar planets. Perhaps, That’s why pulsar , wormholes and related ufology came to existence. Related:
